Eduardo Cobra - Street art artist, as he calls himself a "street soldier" who fights on the front line, telling and showing his point of view on issues such as war and climate issues.

A Brazilian street artist (San Paolo, 1976) began experimenting with the art of graffiti on the streets, walls and city facades since 1987, using combinations of various techniques, such as brush painting, airbrush and spraying. His drawings are recognizable at first sight, and they strike with bright and kaleidoscopic colors in combination with black and white stencils. The main topics covered by Cobra are the fight against pollution, global warming, deforestation and war.

The walls of the Cobra inevitably reflect the relationship with the life of his hometown (São Paolo) and those in which he works. When a new project begins, Eduardo studies the history of this place, learns the social and cultural heritage, the so-called structure of the place, talks with local residents to understand their needs and traditions. At the iconographic level, he draws inspiration from old photographs, historical facts and great figures of the past and present. Among all his wall paintings, undoubtedly, the most famous is VJ Day in Times Square, which redone the famous photograph of Alfred Eisenstadt, which depicts a kiss between an American sailor and a young woman after his victory over Japan in 1945.

Cobra's many other works present great iconic figures in both history, such as Albert Einstein, Maria Theresa of Calcutta, Nelson Mandela and Anne Frank; from the world of art, like Andy Warhol, Jean Michel Basquiat and Salvador Dali. Also known are kaleidoscopic representations of works of art, such as Michelangelo's David, and Steve Mac Curry, Afghan girl; There is also a redefinition of Cobra musical idols such as Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Amy Winehouse and Tupac.
Whatever it was, except for the “patients” of the society, he paints the city in the bright colors of life, giving them a “zest” and a certain recognition.

Each artist gives us a piece of himself, colors, emotions and feelings. And with street art artists, our cities are becoming vibrant and alive.
