In 1955, the famous modern impressionist painter Mike Barr was born in Adelaide. He became famous for his approach to rainy weather in the city and on the beaches.
Mike begins his creative work as a potter, then, at the age of 19, takes part in an exhibition with several well-known Australian artists, which in general led him to the fact that the connection with visual art is now forever.

At first it was acrylic, then oil paints. Over the past 10 years, Mike has been able to win over 50 different international awards.
The magnificent beaches of Adelaide and South Australia inspired the artist to share the feeling of a miracle, considering that the sky is a link in most of his paintings, especially on the beach, where a light touch to water or in a city where it hardly makes its way through a series of buildings. This is how every viewer can experience the present feelings of space.

The artist almost always focuses exclusively on rainy urban landscapes, moments of foggy gray, illuminated by city cars and traffic lights. In these dark, dark, gray landscapes, unity and similarity of images is found and felt, which make it difficult to determine which city is depicted in the picture. However, in most works - this is Melbourne.

Mike Barr is the author of both the Australian Artist magazine and the British magazine The Artist and made a great contribution to the artistic section of the journal Medical Journal of Australia.

We look and we admire, impress and admire the wonderful and interesting works of the artist.
