Paper shamans

The creative team Asya and Dmitry Kozin became known to the whole world thanks to the fact that they create unique paper art. These can be wigs, masquerade masks, clothing, and even paper sculptures.
Light and airy, and at the same time extremely fragile objects can amaze any viewer.
Over the past ten years, the masters of paper plastic have been engaged in cutting out their masterpieces from paper using various techniques: gluing, folding, cutting, appliqué and quilling.
Asya's first exhibition was held back in 2007 under the title "White enthusiasm". Consisting of 23 dolls showing historical costumes from different countries and eras. Since then, the artist has been gathering many of his fans to showcase new collections.

Volumetric items are created in St. Petersburg, where a whole team of artists work, who create dresses, underwear, shoes, toys, paintings from paper and even imitate cosmetics on the faces of models.
Her paper world captures and captivates with its refined lightness and perfection of forms.
Their works can not leave anyone indifferent, whether it be a dress or hats, jewelry or accessories.

One fascinating series of works by artists is wigs, especially from the Baroque era. In fact, it is art for the sake of art, aesthetics for the sake of aesthetics, there is no practical meaning. Lush baroque wigs, patterned paper shawls with deeply detailed outfits are often used in photo sessions and advertising campaigns. The tops of the wigs are decorated with paper flowers, butterflies, buildings, planes.

Another of Asi's wonderful series of works is Mongolian wedding dresses. Indeed, in the last decade, the ancient traditions of the peoples are forgotten, and brides in ethnic dresses can be seen only in museums and in photographs.

Continuing the Mongolian theme, Asya Kozina created four paper costumes for four brides from different parts of the world. Asia was symbolized by a stylized outfit from Mongolia, the west is a luxurious English image, the south is the wedding dress of the African people of Yoruba, and the north is, of course, the motives inspired by Russian costumes. White paper is intended to symbolically emphasize the purity and fragility of love.

We also admire this amazing world of paper works, created by a wonderful team of artists Dmitry and Asya Kozin.
