Look beyond the horizon

Today we introduce you to the artist Tatyana Savintseva, who will tell about herself.
I was born in the south of Russia, in the Volgograd region (09/28/1976). I began to make the first attempts at drawing as a child when I learned to hold a brush and a pencil in my hands. When I was still a child, my young parents loved to go out into the countryside and willingly took me and my brother with them. Huge, open spaces of the Volga steppes, floodplain meadows, the endless Volga River and the sky, with its variety of shades at different times of the day - all this, seen by children's eyes, simply could not but inspire creativity. And of course I wanted to capture not only nature itself, but also my own emotions from what I saw with a brush and pencil.

During my school years, I continued to develop my interests in the field of fine arts, but still this was more of a hobby, one of many teenage hobbies.
I was looking for myself in many types of creativity, but already at a more mature age I came to the realization that it was my passion for drawing that was not a hobby and not a job, but a way of life. I began to experiment with different styles and materials, paying maximum attention to fine details and textures.

From gouache, I switched to oil and then discovered the possibilities that acrylic gives. I like to experiment with color, I like this dramatic effect, when the subtlety of the lines of the depicted object is compensated by the roughness of the texture.
People often ask me - what feelings do I have during drawing, where does inspiration come from. For me, the process of creating a new picture is always a journey. At the beginning of the journey - it is only an obscure image, as if you are looking at the horizon line. It is like waiting for something beautiful, new, unusual. Then you start to see more and more amazing details that you want to capture as accurately as possible, not to miss anything. And of course I want to convey not only the image, but also my emotions associated with it. With the help of color and textures to convey a message, a sign that decrypts the soul of the viewer.

My passion is animalism, decorative painting, realism. Art, like life, is the joy of new discoveries. I hope to discover other areas of painting. Five years ago, following my husband in the Middle Eastern state of Oman, I discovered the flavor of local, almost alien landscapes and an inexplicable combination of technological progress and ancient history. Perhaps this will be the next item on my journey in art. After all, the horizons for that exist, so that I would like to look behind them!
