Today we introduce you to the remarkable and very talented artist Vyacheslav Anatolyevich Kurseyev. Born in 1965, in the city of Saratov, in a family of civil engineers. After graduating from the Bogolyubov Art School, he entered the Moscow Art School of Humanities (formerly Stroganskoye) and after the first year he left for Prague, then to Stockholm, interrupting his studies finally. In Sweden for 12 years, successfully collaborated with several galleries. The result of this cooperation was that his works adorn the Swedish parliament.
His works sink into the soul and touch the memory and feelings of the audience, especially those whom fate has tied to Saratov. Old quarters with squat houses, fences, wickets. Autumn and winter courtyards with luminous windows in the houses are a special provinciality of old Saratov.
Any viewer who looks at the pictures, visually imagines how slowly time flows in this Volga town with its streets, trams, small courtyards and old gates.
Vyacheslav Kurseyev himself says:
“In words, I cannot describe that old city and time, but I imagine them and feel. Therefore, I am trying to convey with the means available to me the spirit of the former Saratov. ”
With incredible skill, owning artistic meth shows us his vision of the past of Saratov in his paintings, where the familiar and cozy atmosphere of his native city, the familiar streets, the beautiful Volga.
Before embarking on a new job, Vyacheslav studies historical documents in order to feel the spirit of the times and only after that he begins to create new pictures.
His works are in many private collections and galleries.
