Artist Sergio Martínez Cifuentes was born in 1966, Chile. Already in childhood, his drawings were outstanding. In adolescence, she participates in youth painting contests and receives numerous awards and prizes. Thanks to this, the artist was able to understand the true importance of his to the visual arts.
At the first stage of his creative career, he enjoys descriptive realism, showing great control over form and content, filling them with elegant color. His main theme at that time was landscape. In 1987, he painted his first portraits and nudes, this was a new challenge for him. The main heroine of his work was his wife. Starting from the 90th year, “nude” will be a theme that is present in almost all of his canvases. After 2000, the artist changes the oil paints to acrylics and begins to pay more attention to the textures, details and gestures of the characters.
In his works, the Chilean artist Sergio combines elegant grace and subtle feminine beauty, elegance, reflecting in a flexible camp and dance steps.
He was able to capture the very elusive moment, a slight wave of his hand and the inclination of the head to the shoulder, a short glance or a slight smile that flashed on his face.
The artist learned to combine in his works light erotica with a sensual mood, from which the trembling gives at the fingertips of each girl. And it’s not at all important that she dances, dissolving into music or gently hugging someone by the shoulders. The heroine is always light and relaxed, like fragile figurines that freeze in some unimaginable poses.
No matter how much Sergio stressed the direction of the ballet, he does not forget that first of all he writes women's images that attract so many men with their unobtrusive beauty and semi-naked parts of the body.
After all, dance is life itself, one of the ways to show not only your skills, but also love for the world, for the profession and the environment.
Transmitting in his paintings in his paintings a variety of emotions of dancers, ranging from the smooth bends of the strained legs for a few hours of workout and ending with pointe shoes touchingly stretched on slender female legs, which carries not only beauty, but also the whole story of ups and downs, losses and achievements.
He tries to convey the greatness and diversity of dance, which is elusive to the simple human eye. Starting from the subtlety of nature of young ballet, who only know the first steps, to the passionate curves of the body of dancers in a fluffy skirt, wriggling with a flexible body in a passionate Latin American dance with the very fate.
