Hello, I am an artist Kozlov Ilya! Born in St. Petersburg. Both my father and mother are artists, and my mother also teaches English. Andrei Kozlov, father - quite famous St. Petersburg watercolor artist. Father's father was also an artist. In general, one might say, followed in the footsteps of the family! But he began to draw quite late - for the first time he thought about the profession of an artist at the age of 14 and began to study art more or less seriously. As a teenager I liked to look at art albums from our home library for a long time - Shishkin, Bryullov, Levitan, Rembrandt.
After school, without thinking twice, he entered the Russian State Pedagogical University. A.I. Herzen, about which he never regretted. There all my meetings with many wonderful artists-educators took place, with which I try not to lose touch even now. The university became my second home, here I was formed as an artist, so it seems to me. Participated in various exhibitions - regional, All-Russian, international, I have diplomas and awards. Admitted to the Union of Artists of St. Petersburg.
Currently, for the third year I have been working as a teacher in the Children's Art School No. 10.
I am convinced that children have a beneficial effect on adults and the teaching profession in general is very interesting and eventful! In parallel with the teaching activities do not stop the creative work on the paintings. In winter, I paint landscapes based on materials collected over the summer during plein air trips. In the summer I work more directly in nature - I travel to different points, mainly in Russia.
In art, the landscape and the human presence in it are closest to me. The path through the field, the left bike, the smoke above the pipe - the implicit traces of human life, hints of human warmth in an indifferent and detached-beautiful nature. The artist, in my opinion, is a person who has taken on a huge responsibility to talk about something high, non-mercantile, and he must keep this bar. You can not adapt to someone's tastes, you need to know what you want and bend your line. The beautiful is able to heal the souls of people. And I really hope that I can realize this goal in my work, I believe that it is achievable!
In my free time, as a hobby, I play the guitar, make homemade harps, and compose songs. I am writing poetry, since 2018 - a member of the Union of Writers of Russia.
