The artist was born in 1965 in a small town in France. Later he received his first education in fine arts in Spain, in Bilbao – the capital of the Basque country, which is one of the cultural centers of Spain.
Now the artist lives and works in a small town Basque, Irun. He started his career Javier Arizabal not with paintings, but work on the graphics, design, occasionally photography. Six years ago, the artist is really interested in fine art, begins to study the work of light and shadow. His works are always simple, light and elegant.
The peculiarity of painting is not working with the background, but with the human figure and its expressive contours of the body. For the artist, only images are important, not the environment where his characters live.
