In the modern world of painting, for some reason, very little is given to pastel techniques. But, it is with color pencils that our knowledge in the elementary world of art of beauty, feelings, colors and admiration begins.
At the earliest age, we are making our first steps on the road to great art. For a few, a simple fascination with colored pencils and crayons led to a broader knowledge of this technique.
One of such artists is Renata Dor.
Renata Dor is a German artist, was born in Germany, spent her entire childhood on Lake Constance, where she currently lives and works.
The first trial drawing, of course, was made with pencils. Now she hones her technique professionally, doing graphics in a variety of activities, one way or another related creativity.
Constant experiments in painting, such as, draw with a pencil, but, add red chalk and coal, try acrylic, oil, watercolor. The greatest charm for Renata is to work in the pastel technique, her endless "mealy" properties so fascinated the artist that from 2010 she paints only in pastel techniques.
Her work conveys an endless love for nature, multifaceted colors and forms.
The velvety structure of the pastel allows us to consider the possibility of the depth and volume of simple lines and contours.
The work done by pastel is always light, airy, gentle with unusual soft transitions of flowers.
Fall in love with the technique of pastel!
