It all started with the "King"

Our new artist, whose works are put up for auction is Nadezhda Bokova.
Recently, we ask artists to talk about themselves. And that's what came out of it. We read and get acquainted.

My whole life is connected with creativity. Before the birth of the child, I was a professional dancer. Well, now all my time is devoted to education and painting.

She began to write her first works at the age of 24 when she was pregnant. Suddenly felt the desire to draw. I bought oil, canvas, brushes and then went to study in a circle of interests. My first job was easy. I took the usual photo and redraw it. It was a winter landscape. I experienced such pleasure and desire to repeat this process again and again. Every little thing and every detail was drawn with trepidation.

The following work was the search itself. Different techniques and materials. Volumetric paintings with a palette knife. Oil for me then was the best and most pleasant material. The biggest work is the "King." Layer upon layer was applied to the canvas and dried out and so on until the lion acquired its greatness.

The desire to discover new things only spurred me on and so I got acquainted with acrylic, with the technique of liquid acrylic and epoxy. Madly in love with volume painting, pop-art.
In the process, I felt a certain ease in working with acrylic. I tried to paint not only canvases, but also clothes.

Now the year 2019 hooked on heroes from the comic book MARVEL, Duck stories. I know one thing that I am getting an incredible charge from the process of working on a painting and it doesn’t matter what material it is.
