The background on how Alexandra Epishkina began to draw is very interesting. It all started with the fact that from an early age she wanted to express her ideas, at that time, as now, they were very unusual, very bright and sensual.
Alexandra began to try. Her first works, according to others, were gloomy and not very impressive. But with age everything began to come by itself, the stroke technique began to improve with the amount of work. As a teenager, Alexandra began studying in workshops to bring her own style of drawing to the end. The training did not last long; the last workshop she went to was at Mayakovskaya, held by Voropayev Valentin Vasilyevich, a painter and teacher at the Stroganov Academy. It was this place that became one of the most beloved artists, where one could fully immerse oneself in work, learn new techniques of drawing, and in general generally feel the atmosphere of this amazing place. Thanks to Voropaev, Alexander understood a lot in painting and in general in art. Then Alexandra had to make her way towards art alone, she independently went through the technique of writing in oils, worked on canvases, but, fortunately, more than one canvas was not spoiled all the time.
“I always clearly knew what ideas each canvas was designed for, so I worked painstakingly and carefully. All the ideas came by myself, from different moments of my life I took only the best and expressed it on canvas, so I learned to finish building my ideas and reveal my imagination as much as possible. ”
The first work in oil was made by an artist on the format 50x70, her name was “Opposites, which sink their time into infinity”. According to the author, this work has no equal, just for the simple reason that it was written under a strong impression and emotions of defeat. It expresses the whole meaning of life of the masculine and feminine, so when the viewer looks at her, he feels the power of the image and volume in general, the transitions of shades and bright smears of oil give the effect of water due to flaxseed oil. It is also the first work in which Alexandra “showed that she completely leaves the generally accepted standards in art and painting”.
“Of course, it’s not so easy to promote your ideas and a new direction in art,” says Alexandra Epishkina.
“The main task of the artist is to make any creation absolutely free and in demand. Any creation of man is worthy of the attention of society, now everything is different in art. Among the unknown artists a lot of great work is hidden, and for the most part they are located in each of the apartments. That is why any picture should be given the opportunity to move across the expanses of time. "
