Aun Kyaw Het is a contemporary artist from Burma. He was born in 1965 in Myanmar, graduated from the State School of Fine Arts in Rangoon.
Living in a small village and being a convinced Buddhist in everything are two main factors that have a strong influence on creativity. His paintings are always realistic and reflect the religious life of the monks in Burma. Minor details have been purposely removed from the works in order to draw attention to people who are painted with the highest level of realism in the smallest detail, showing all the humanity of these characters.
His manner of painting contradicts the rules of Burmese artists written long ago, which usually hide facial features in order to focus the viewer's attention on a monk, as symbols of the steadfastness of religious beliefs, and not as personalities and individuals.
Almost in all works, the artist uses bright colors, urging the viewer to turn his eyes to the serenity of the monks for complete immersion and penetration.
Aun Zhuo participated in exhibitions in Burma, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong. His works are in permanent collections in the galleries of Malaysia, Myanmar and Burma.
