Since December 6, a festival of photographs of northern countries has opened on the ROSFOTO site. Most readers suspect that they will be able to see endless snow barkhans, snow-covered snow-covered trees, a winter landscape and even the northern lights. But in fact, everything will be wrong. The exhibition features works by eleven Finnish photographers. Their view is laid on the axis of coordinates, where the part is private and social, and the second is the past and the future. They try to look through the prism of the interweaving of our memory through the social, individual and collective. Some of them consider not only the moment of connection between the past and the future, but also as a social memory to change the future.
The authors try to show the connection between Russia and Finland through the so-called different memories of the past, the interweaving of cultural principles and the difference in the period of wars and political crises. Constant economic, political and technological changes lead to changes in local time and geographical space.
What awaits us in the future? The main vector of the exhibition. After all, all these changes lead to uncertain future of our time.
