Today we wanted to remember the labels of the Soviet period. Of course, you can find a lot of articles and photo labels of that period, we decided to refresh our memory a little. We perfectly understand that this is not part of art, but part of our subculture of that time.
Returning to the past, when no children's holiday was held without a carbonated drink, even lemonade, soda, soda.
Each child was poured a glass, like an adult glass of wine. The bottle cost 22 or 27 cents. And the bottles could always be taken. Empty containers cost 12 cents. Over time, for some reason, they refused to receive glass containers, but Europeans still collect, sort and use recyclable materials, with automatic machines installed in stores.
Later in the 70s, before signing the contract with the PepsiCo corporation, we successfully established the production of the sparkling drink "Baikal" with a sticker, as on bottles of wine, was sold only in the capital and costed an order of magnitude more than ordinary soda. By the way, in all carbonated drinks, only natural flavors have always been used.
In 1971, after signing the contract on mutually beneficial terms, against the background of sanctions, the USSR began exporting vodka to America, and we received pepsi-cola.
On the eve of the Olympics, in Moscow, an American drink began to be sold in specialized stalls, they always stood out against the backdrop of our Soviet gray stalls with brightness, streamlining and a big logo on the roof. The bottle of the "American miracle" cost 31 kopecks.
In perestroika time, the label "Pepsi" was written in Russian. It was this label that became the symbol of that period of time.
In addition to recognizable labels of different carbonated drinks, there were labels that were always recognizable, such as "Riga Balsam", "Stolichnaya" vodka, "Wedding Semi-dry" wine and many more. But, at the same time, always understandable and simple.
