Burlesque in art or the art of burlesque

Today we introduce you to the American artist, a native of Kansas City - Lacy Lewis.
The uniqueness of her work is the erasure of the boundary between the burlesque subculture and art. When a person, almost, can not visibly feel that the whole circus in his world is now that the circus has moved to his house.
The image of diverse characters, the study of costumes with a focus on cabaret dancers, circus actors, provokes the desire inside of them to do something unconventional and become something new, even for a while.
The artist paints real, almost always fantastically looking people who try to avoid the ordinary, where every costume becomes odd, where the lines between scenic images and reality are blurred.
According to Lacey Lewis herself, to convey to the viewer the opportunity through pictures to transfer themselves, albeit indirectly, to the world of illusions and their desires.
