Today we want to introduce you to an amazing contemporary artist. His name is Diego Fazio, known as DiegoKoi, is a young Italian artist.
Diego was born in 1989, in the city of Lamezia Terme, Italy. The artist never received an education in the field of fine arts and is self-taught.
His creative activity began with the development of sketches for tattoos. Over time, he developed his own drawing technique, using only coal and a pencil.
Diego's works are amazing with their hyper-realism and it is sometimes very difficult to identify and distinguish them from photographs.
Thanks to Internet technologies, Diego Fazio was able to find contacts and make his way into the world of art. From this moment begins his ascent to the art Olympus.
In August 2010, the artist takes part in the summer festival Badolato, and in September 2010 in the show in Lamezia Terme. In 2012 among 7000 participants of the competition, becomes the winner of the very prestigious award Arte Laguna in Venice.
Every time the appearance of new works on the Internet is accompanied by a wave of many thousands of comments, in the spirit of "I do not believe", "this is a photograph," "unconvincing," "a copy."
To prove his skills and reduce the wave of negativity from "unbelievers," the 22-year-old artist had to tell the Internet the sequence of creating pictures.
The peculiarity of his drawing is that he creates his paintings, like an inkjet printer, starting to draw from the edge of a sheet.
On the creation of one portrait, the artist takes about 200 hours of work.
Diego did not think that his work could be so widely recognized throughout the world, and painted only for himself. But, thanks to the development of the Internet, each of the friends who saw his work could not help sharing the level of the artist's skill with his loved ones.
