Mezhevich Olga always painted. At the age of 12, she made the decision to study at an art school, but this idea turned into a collapse. She was constantly made remarks - it is not there, it is not so, not that color, not that shade, etc ... Having established itself in the idea that learning the skill of an artist is like geometry with its theorems, but she herself is completely mediocre, she quit studying , but did not stop drawing. At first there was a youthful stage of graphics - her pencil sketches were scattered around friends and acquaintances, some dressed in frames and glass and became an element of decor.
The stage of graphics is usually over and trite - work, marriage, the birth of a son, life. Painting, poetry - everything was folded in a box for forgotten things. This little chest stood quietly in a corner, covered in dust and cobwebs for many years.
But three years ago, Olga was in a situation "on the verge" - an operation, at work - terrible stress ... She was afraid of everything, was exhausted and lived with the feeling of a being cornered.
But there is always a way out, and the moment has come when this truth has been revealed to her. First, Olga bought a new, completely unusual Tarot deck. Then a friend literally dragged her to the store for creativity. Olga bought canvas and acrylic paints. Her first picture, a sort of return to creativity, was the work “Boy with a violin” - just based on the cards from the new deck (Black Grimoire). Then this first work was continued by a series of others - “Flight”, “Star”, “Death”. There were also works on photographic material - the photo was either found on the Internet, or photographed itself. The next step was the painting of oil paintings - and then the artist fell in love .. fell in love with oil painting.
“These are absolutely living materials - I can write with my fingers, I can with a palette knife, I can use brushes - I can write a-la-prima, I can pasty, I can make lessi. Oil paints are a huge range of possibilities for an artist. ” At this stage, Olga's portfolio has completely different works - portraits, landscapes, abstraction. There are works written in different styles and genres. Series "Dolls and Clowns", landscapes - "Before a Thunderstorm", "Mill", "Dark Alley". Now the artist is working on a series of "Witches".
Some of her paintings have already moved to their new owners.
“What I write - I write what“ touches ”me, what surprises me, what interests me. I am absolutely convinced that in the course of the creative process the artist is in a cocoon of a certain energy, which he transmits in his work - and this energy does not disappear, it lives in the picture. ”

Usually the theme comes to Olga with signs - whether it is a book (Doll "Woman Pharaoh Kaye", "Woman Shaman" - the ideas came from the books read) and her theme is so "touching" that she begins to think and reflect on this topic and wants would be a part of their thoughts, impressions, their judgments and conclusions capture on the canvas; either a person or a situation, and even an item that she thinks is so interesting that the artist simply “scratches her hands” - for example, the “Stranger” was written. After the idea arises, Olga starts preparing - thinks about it, looks at the photo on the Internet on the topic, additionally reads about the character, the story, sometimes she looks at pictures of other authors. Writes. Finished work always causes an explosion of emotions, a real catharsis.
Olga thought about the topic - why did she “missed” so much of the time and realized that everything happens and comes very timely, that everything is correct.
“Now there is a wide range of opportunities for an artist to show his work - social networks, exhibition sites, auctions, online stores .. And how many talented people you can find out (albeit virtually), how many magnificent pictures you can see, even if they are on the other side of the planet. Very pleased that the number of people who love painting and want to decorate their home is growing. ”
